These Terms govern your use of Lumiere. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

The service

Lumiere is a self-study tool for learning French from absolute beginner to advanced levels, mapped to the CEFR framework.

All lessons, passages, dialogues, and exercises in Lumiere are original works created for language learning.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

You must provide a valid email address and be legally able to enter into these Terms.

Subscriptions and billing

Lumiere offers a free tier with daily usage limits and paid subscription plans that unlock additional capacity and features.

Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to violate any law.

Do not attempt to extract or resell the content banks or scraped AI output in bulk.

AI feedback disclaimer

AI-generated levels, scores, and feedback are estimates intended to guide your learning. They are mapped to the CEFR framework but are not official certifications or guarantees of exam performance.

No exam affiliation

Lumiere is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by CCI Paris Ile-de-France (TEF), France Education international (TCF), or any official examination body. All practice material is original and format-modeled; no real exam items are reproduced.

Limitation of liability

Lumiere is provided on an as-is basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumiere Learning is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
